Dude, that's awesome! What the heck are you talking about?

I've been browsing Metroid wallpapers/fanart today for some reason and this still manages to stand out. The colouring for this is on par with some of the most profesional looking Metroid work I've seen today. The only criticism I have for this is that the shoulders on Samus' suit don't look quite broad enough - but other than that, awesome work!

Haha, I went through many frustration periods when I was doing this, so i guess I was just a bit bitter from that. Looking back now, I think I'm pretty content with it, with the mistakes and all. I agree with the shoulder thing though. I think there might be something wrong with the correlation of the chest plate as well. Oh well whats done is done, I'm much too lazy to go back to this .

Oh and btw, random question, have you watched 'Heavy Metal' before? It was an american style animated movie from 1981. I had seen it a long time ago and it had a big influence on some of my original stuff. I just recently found out the name of the movie, got all excited and decided to go check it out again. The animation may not be the most fluid, but the art is exceptional. You should go check it out if you have the time, it's really quite good. The last part especially. In fact, the heroine sorta reminds me of samus

That's the first I've heard of it. Upon checking the Wiki entry it seems to have an animation quality quite ahead of it's time with a very sophisticated choice of art style. Might actually have to pick it up sometime if I ever see it.

Great stances for both characters. This is amazing art!! People may say Varia suit Samus's shoulder arent broad/big enuff, but in the Prime games they actually make them to broad and big, so the suit becomes humanly impossible to fit in
